Algunos años mas tarde, en 1812 fue fundada la Fabrica La Rojeña, donde el tequila José Cuervo aún es producido, es la más antigua destilería en América Latina. Después muchas otras destilerías fueron instaladas en el pueblo de Tequila y sus alrededores.<br /><br />A través de los años, el “aguardiente de agave de Tequila” se fue cambiando a “aguardiente de Tequila” y mas tarde paso a ser solo “Tequila”.</p><p><span style="color:#000099;">In 1795, King Carlos IV of Spain Kingdom issued a Royal Degree granting a concession to Jose Cuervo to produce “aguardiente de agave” in Tequila town, in Jalisco state, Mexico. Some years later, on 1812 was founded Fabrica La Rojeña, where Cuervo Tequila is still produce, is the oldest active distillery in Latin America.
